Not for this car. The maintenance manual will tell when to change everything. Or, go to www.infinitihelp.com

This is from one of the manuals. Is it true?

"Using automatic transmission fluid other
than Genuine NISSAN Matic J ATF will cause
deterioration in driveability and automatic
transmission durability, and may damage
the automatic transmission, which is not
covered by the INFINITI new vehicle limited
warranty."

Not to turn this discussion into an oil thread, but I read many people stating that if you constantly redline your car, synthetic oil is the way to go. Is this true? I redline somewhat often, and I haven't switched to synthetic yet.

Judging from your endless questions and your need for speed. Why don't you sell your G? The car is not a Porche or Ferrari by any means but it is a very finely engineered machine. Having someone like you owning one is almost a crime against humanity, it is like giving a fine wine to wino. I am sorry to be harsh but do everyone a favor and buy a Kia.

It depends. If you change your oil religiously every 2k, i honestly think, based on years of UOA's, that it won't matter if you have synthetic or dino. Synthetics really shine with extended OCI's. There are even some dino oil that work almost as well, if not better, than some Synth's.

Let's not be too harsh , i personally don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying the car. Granted, he did say "rag"... as mentioned earlier, there's a big difference between driving it for all its worth and ragging on the vehicle.

I push the G to my own limits, the car has yet to reach its own, and yet it takes me wherever me and the family wants to go without issue.

.
The dude's probably just really excited about his new ride. I had a wicked ear to ear smile for the first few months with this car. Think back to the first day you pressed the Start button. Bliss.

Every one of us handles child like joy in different ways and that's what this car does, at least did to me, for the first few months. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.
