I have yet to see a G35/G37 WITHOUT this defect. Same issue on every G. Even the 2011's have this problem.

yes, I had the same issue when under warranty and they fixed/replaced. A little disappointed in the build quality of the G

I agree, I have had my car for a week and have noticed things which make me wonder about the built quality going down hill.

I have the same problem as the rest of you but I do not think I have warranty. 07 w 45k, second owner. Not sure if the warranty transfers at all. My dash is also starting to do the same thing on the passenger side at the bottom where it meets the center console.

I also have door weather stripping that is starting to come apart. Sad that the quality of such a nice vehicle is ****.

Warranty does transfer its 4 years from in service date or 60k I think powertrain is 5/70 k. You can also get an Infiniti elite warranty at a discount at Scottsdale Infiniti via their website if you are worried.

Just called Infinity of Louisville and basically got blown off. Talked to their financing manager or some a hole..Told him the issue. He said we offer so and so warranty. I asked him what was not covered and he said three things. Pads, rotors, tires. So I said what about my dash starting to peel around my gauge cluster? He said that will not be covered since its cosmetic and tried to tell me that its not covered under the factory warranty either. So I corrected him and told him that it was a defect that other owners I spoke to had replaced under warranty. At that time he said said " Well I will be here till 8pm so just come in and talk to me", click. What a ****ing AS*SHOLE!. If a Columbine incident happened at a dealership I would not mind one bit....Are all dealership employees this big of ******??

No...but I would never try to resolve questionable warranty issues over the phone. Go and talk to them face to face. People are less likely to be jerks this way...both parties. There are good and bad examples of dealerships/employees for every brand.

Is your car under warranty or not? If it is then you need to call Steve Baer at Swope Infiniti in Louisville. They changed my steering wheel due to chipping/peeling under warranty just a couple of months ago and were great to deal with.

If it is not under warranty you should check prices on the internet and figure out if it is worthwhile to purchase one.

Steve Baer is the service department manager and he was really great to work with.

No the vehicle is not under bumper to bumper, power train and drive train till may of next year is still covered. I will call cool springs infinity down in TN next and see if they would replace or fix the dash issue.
