Mine whines like crazy. It has since I purchased the car at 30k miles. I have 90k miles on the sedan now and still have the OEM clutch. It is bothersome and it does chatter (not quite as loud as yours) but I have just come to live with the noise. Once this clutch finally goes I'll be putting in a JWT lightweight flywheel and clutch and it should be quieter than my OEM setup

Mine does the same thing. Chatters like hell after the car has been driven for a while. Press the clutch in and it goes away. It's the throw out bearing. I've had the problem for 60k miles. Just waiting on the clutch to finally go before I upgrade.

Mine whines, mostly at the 3-4K, like in third gear when I'm rounding an on/off ramp. It does it in 2nd too. I think thats just how these transmissions sound. However, I remember reading about one person who had some transmission grinding issues, when he brought his car in the tech didnt even get around to the grinding issue, he heard the 1st gear whining in the parking lot and said it needs to be replaced.
