I was just curious, when you guys launch what rpm do you launch it at.

My first time trying to launch in my 2007g35s i revved it to about 4500 popped the clutch.... i was fishing tailing like crazy.

Now i attempt between 1500 and 2k.

i usually launch around 1000 rpm (idle), as since i have a G35x nobody else beats me off the line anyway

2-2.5k is good enough, but frankly speaking no need to have high rev launch if you can better your launch from idle it would serve you better (good launch and less stress on drive train, tires etc) as long as you dont spin tires too much.

47 revolutions per minute sometimes closer to 50 rpms no more than 50 though.

I can imagine a follow up thread to this one where the question is asked: "Which hand do you reach for your wallet with when you pay for the necessary repairs resulting from repeatedly launching your car?"

lmao better yet, the follow up question should be something like: "At what rpm does the tow truck launch when he is towing your G35 with a broken driveshaft?"

I know if you have the VDC on the car will shut down. I only did it once to see what it would do. I forget where the RPM was. Don't really care for it either.
