I just bought a 2007 G35S with Nav a couple weeks ago (this was supposed to be the car I would just live with stock...brought it home 2 weeks ago today and so far I've purchased Michelin Pilot Super Sports, an Akebono BBK and H&R wheel spacers for it, ha).

Anyway, I'm looking at doing the map update, since the version installed in the car is the original from 07. Looking at navtec.com, the 2011 update is on sale until the end of the month, but when I read through the FAQ's it says the annual updates are typically released in the fall. For those of you that keep up to date with map updates, does Infiniti consider Fall = late-September or mid-December lol? I'm willing to wait a few weeks but the my entire neighborhood is missing from the 07 map and it's driving me nuts, dunno if I want to wait until almost winter...

Should I wait for the 2012 update or save the $50 and get the 2011?

 

I just got mine updated to the 2011 version and it made a huge difference. The special price is only good until the end of July I think so I bet the "Fall" update is out in August.

That I know I have 07-08 maps!! I thought next update was 09-10!? And then something like 11-12! Or it's yearly updates?! Anyone!!
I gotta tell you!! The 07-08 maps are so fricking outdated!!!!!! I rather use my iPhone 4 for maps!

 

I paid $1000 even for my Akebonos used! One of the best best mods I've done so far!! I just need some slotted and drilled rotors to finish it up!

Tried calling this morning, of course they're only open Monday to Friday, and the sale ends today. I went ahead and purchased the 2011 update.
