Man, leave the forum for a little while and i come back to this. <g>

PD, as with any mod to the vehicle, is subjective and very personal. I have no qualms, obviously, about putting it on my grille. Primarily, it protects, and it has done its job admirably. It was either the matte finish of PD, or a fully-pitted "plastichrome" grille.

In any case, thanks everyone for the well-wishes. I'm okay for the most part, this accident is just one of several things that have gone wrong the past several weeks. That black cloud above me needs to go away soon.

Kool, thanks for the tip on the body shop/quotes. The car is in the shop right now being looked at. Although Insurance recommended, it is an independent shop. I'll ask if they're able to do the swap.

I guess, based on what i've searched so far, that AFS light will just stay on if i go the non-AFS route (i.e. 2010+), right?

Thanks.

^ i dont think that the AFS light should stay on since it turns on when you physically turn off the button, my GUESS is that if you have it on 'ON' then the light should stay off UNLESS that light is also used to show error with the AFS system, either way you can have the bulb removed and not have to worry about it!

I guess the say "When it rains, it pours!" is applicable here
