My first mod :-)

Bought my 2007 G35x Sedan on 20 Aug 2011, I've loved it since I drove it off the lot...but just like my Nissan Titan before it, I have the itch to mod. So within' a week I ordered the Injen CAI from Assaultech (best price I could get) and it came via Fedex today. I'll let everyone know how it is once I'm done. Maybe post some pics id your lucky. It's going to be a good day.

Thanks

Alright, so it took a about 2.5 hours. Had a hard time getting the bumper off (the bolt above the headlight would just spin) but after some bending and breaking finally had it installed. Felt a decent boost on my butt dyno at 3k+ RPM and the growl definitely made it worth it. Can't hear the intake sucking in air unless the windows are open which makes me a little sad. I love that sound. I'll post some pics of the mod and of the car. I kind of want to paint the grill black w/ the silver infinit symbol. Think it would look good on this color? Tint and exhaust are next besides the grill. Are there hand held tuners available for the G35 and do you get any significant gains off them? Glad to be part of the forums...feels like home.

Congrats on the intake!!! You will notice how you may get used to it but your passengers will be surprised!... Black grille will look good along with black rims .

2.5 hours under the hood and you couldn't even give things a quick wipe down before taking the pic?

Hahaha I was actually thinking that once I took the picture, I cleaned it when I got home I promise...just too lazy and tired to take a new picture.

Wife drove it today, said it whipped her into the back of the seat when she chomped on it to get on the interstate. That made me smile.
