One week, washed, Clayed and WAxed...results...

Had the Friday off and took the time to finally get down and clean the car i just got last week. With Hurricane Irene and time to catch up with work , i finally cleaned it. Looks like the paint overall is really clean and am only concerned with nicks and scratches on the front bumper (from all the highway miles). Should i get a new bumper or sand and repaint it? Also , the grill has lots of black nicks. Does anyone know where i can get a new grille ?? was thinking of painting it black but dont think it would look good unless i paint the housings of the headlights. What do you guys think i should do? Thanks and enjoy the pictures.

The car looks great, fyi the paint on our car is not liked by many on this forum when it comes to the front bumper and hood as the CC is quite thin and gets nicked and scratched pretty easily. If you do repaint the bumper then id recommend spending some more $$ and getting a clear bra applied to at least the bumper else it'll be the same thing over again within a few months.

Painting the grill seems to be the first thing ppl do around here, just check out some pics (there are a lot) of black grill with stock lights and can decide from there.

G/L and keep us posted with your modding progress!

Looks good, paint it and then clear bra it. How many miles are on the car?

It looks good...what model year 07-09? I ask because if you have warranty you might be able to get the grille replaced. Some have had luck and some have not. It all depends on the dealership, you and your relationship with them. My dealer replaced my grille when I had my 07. You can buy them here for $175

You can also buy a new front bumper cover (unpainted) for $260. Which ever route you take to repair the front end, I also recommend a clear bra once you are done.

Yes, and it is a direct fit.

There are dozens of threads about it if you do a search.

Car looks great!!

I went whole hog and got a porter cable DA buffer/sander, multiple velcro pads from auto geek. I found the best results from using clay bar, Meg's ultimate compound to get out most the small surface scratches and swirling marks in the clear coat. Then I used Meguirers carnuba gold plus(polymers). In between waxes I have been using Meguirers ultimate quick detail with polymers. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Water beeds to almost a perfect drop. bugs and fly crap whipe off with a damnp micro towel. I also did my older SUV and it really looked like new.
