To my kids, i'm old.
To my wife, i'm not mature enough.
To my parents, i'm still a kid.
To some friends, i purportedly need to grow up.
To my co-workers, i'm the equivalent of a handful of other skilled workers.
Personally, i've been twenteen for quite some time now.

im 19 and I got my car when I was 17. Paid for it in cash with my own money and I pay all expenses. My parents told me that they would pay insurance and they did for the first year. Now I pay in full

Wow we got some young stunners.

Got mine when I was 19, 21 now. Should have it paid off by feb next year.

I put down 17k on it. My insurance is cheap because I'm under my parents plan.

40 year old, here. Given the typical G driver that I see on the road, this board is not representative of the average age. That kind of adds to the sleeper quality of the G.

Talk about lucky..95% of parents that i know of my friends would never get a car like this for their kid..but you are from cali so i bet it's a bit different out there than here on east coast.

Hell if i was 20 and my parents were willing to get me a car like this i would take it...but after getting a tad bit older..i just couldn't do it..but to each their own!

I'm 33.

The real question is, what is the average age/gender of the second-gen G driver who also posts on a forum. I'm guessing that when you take the 2 into consideration together, you're not getting an accurate representation of the actual age of drivers.

Also, a lot of people just buy a car and never mod, never really learn about it online, etc.

Anyway, what are you kids doing to pay for a $30K car at age 21? Slinging crack?

I want to see this as well..for those of you around 20-22..do your parents pay anything towards your car..including gas, insurance ect
