Weather Stripping / Headlamp

Does anyone have a problem with there weather stripping? My warranty is almost up and I noticed today around my sunroof that the stripping is all cracked and worn looking because of the sun. Does anyone know if I could get that replaced under warranty? Also, My right headlamp gets moisture in it and is starting to look a bit foggy. Are the headlamps covered or could be replaced under warranty?? If anyone could answer those questions and not send me a link to go look for myself it would be much appreciated!!

Btw, My car is an 07 G35 Sedan sport.

I know you can get the sunroof replaced under warranty because there is a TSB and I had mine replaced last year. As for the headlamp I don't know, tell them you don't know how such a nice car can have so many problems and your not pleased with the moisture and would like them to cover the cost!

I have that too, the rubber part around the glass looks like it has very tiny cracks in it! Also the rubber stuff between the door and the jamb along the top of the door pops out.

Did you check to see if that cap that seals the HID section of your headlights is closed properly and rubber seal on the rid is still good?

Yeah! Ive had the door jam rubber part pop out a few times. I had them fix that a while ago. I haven't checked on the rubber seals for the Hid light. I wanna see if I can just get the dealership to replace the light before I even bother checking. Im trying to get everything I can think of replaced before the orginal warranty is up. Thanks for the help tho!

Yes this is a common problem and the dealers are replacing it for us!

For the door weatherstripping, rather than replacing them, the dealers are performing TSB# ITB07-034, which basically has them remove them, clean the surfaces, and reinstall with double-sided tape. Years ago, before this TSB came out, I had the dealer look at them. They replaced all 4 doors and within a week or so they were all doing the same thing. Replacing them does NOTHING! When I had them looked at again last summer, they performed the TSB and it's fixed about 99% of the issue.

I had the entire sunroof replaced. When I took the car to the dealer for a peeling dash, I mentioned the cracks around the sunroof trim, not knowing that they would just replaced the entire thing under warranty. Definitely contact the dealer, and give it a shot. As for the headlights, you may as well ask since you'll be there for the sunroof...
