I'm trying to understand the point of this. G35/37 owners who join internet forums account for maybe 20% of the total population of G owners if that. Not a very good way to get an accurate picture of the reliability of these cars.

A better way to assess the reliability of these cars is to speak to Nissan/Infiniti mechanics who have to repair these cars for a living. I would think they might have a better idea since they are the ones working on these cars for a living.

FWIW, the HR motor seems very robust to me at 55K miles.

I have a 09 G37 with 99,443 will be 100k by Saturday. As long your just a daily driver and not a track / street racer this car will hold up well pass 100k.

I am just trying to get a general consensus from this forum.

mine just hit 50k, and its doing great
couple hundred more miles till another oil change, I do mine every 2500-3000 miles

I do however hope by 75k miles have paid enough to trade it in possibly for 10-11 G37s

I got 128xxx on my 07 G35x. I got it a bit over a year ago with 97xxx. It still drives like a luxury sports sedan should, and with proper maintenance it will last for a long long time. I have had Nissans before and my wife drives a Murano. I know that the VQ engines are very sturdy and reliable.

As of today I'm at 117,864 in my 08. Second owner. All maintance was done at Infiniti by the first owner. Car still drives like brand new. I heard there was a guy in SC that has an 07 with over 230k on the clock. I plan on keeping mine for the long haul and would love to see 250k on this motor.

LOL... I travel for work a lot and like to take vacations! Car had about 89k on it when I got it but I only paid 15k for the car. Still looks new and is close to paid off.

Oh, I think you'd be surprised. If you kept up on its maintenance, it would probably still be impressive.

A little over 70k here. Bought the car used with roughly 13k on it. It has been tracked many times and other than replacing the A/C under warranty shortly after purchasing, i've had no other major problem with the car.

They say the HR is more robust than the DE, if that's the case i expect to see well past 200k on these engines. My old Maxima, at about 150k now, still runs strong.
