I think time may be more a factor than mileage here kool. Since his mileage is mainly highway, it's getting thorough and consistent charging on a frequent basis, which is an excellent lifestyle if you're a battery. My '07 is still on the original battery, but I'm only at 59K miles. As time passes, I keep thinking it's gotta be getting tired, but at 5 years old now, it shows no signs of sluggish performance whatsoever; still whips the engine briskly to a start as it has always done. I just checked the cells in the battery the other day and they were all just below the recommended level per the indicator , so I topped them all up with distilled water. It will be interesting to see how long this one lasts.Originally Posted by kool_yaar

^ thats a good point about the hwy driving, didnt even think about that, thats a whole lot of stress taken off the battery for the majority of those miles compared to ppl who drive more within the city with stop-n-go traffic

I have about 78,000 on mine, I was really tempted to trade this for an 11 Accord w/ 12k miles (+1500 dollars) a few days ago... Don't know ... but a replacement engine will kill my budget....
Car runs great, Syn Oil every 3500 - 5000 miles.... all fluids, rear brakes once, new battery once, a bunch of tires, i think 5 sets in the back, 4 in the front, 17.5 - 19 mpg.... premium gas
(sorry for bad formatting in a rush)

I have put 30k on mine over the past 1 1/2 years. Started at 43, now at 73. Had a front axle leak and twisted power wire in the steering column causing all steering wheel controls to be inop. Spent tons of $$ on basic maintenance. Services, tires, brakes etc... So far so good. Car has proven to be a quality build IMO. Motor runs great and tranny shifts hard because of my tuning set-up. I've put 10k on since my tune. I am wondering what kind of longevity I will get out of my tranny with the tuning set-up ive got. I will be getting a minor de-tune coming up on the 9th. (Before my road trip to VEGAS)

Still rocking grad school and just bought this G (cash down!) after saving up from 4 years of undergrad.Walk to work everyday so my G is my weekend treat, bought it with 38,285 on the odo on Dec 22 and today it's at 40,406.
2121 miles / 128 days = 16.57 mi/day.
No intent to brag but it's great only having to buy gas once a month!

True, but it's also great to be able to enjoy the car more than just on weekends (not bragging Originally Posted by ravitek
