2008 g35xs

hey, guys,

I am currently shopping around for a 2008 G35x, and was gonna get one next weekend (a CPO with 36K, listed $ 24,000) but someone got ahead of me and took the vehicle today Anyways, I saw another one tonight, which is a non CPO G35Xs with approx. 38K miles on it, the listed price is $ 24,000. Do you guys think the price is ok since it's not a CPO? I am thinking to make an offer of $ 22,500 since infiniti ended the production of G35 in 2008. Should I go lower than that?! any feedback will be nice...

I am new to the forum and I should have my 08 G35x on Tuesday. I actually had to go out of state to find a decent deal on one. I am taking a risk buying out of state but nobody in Salt Lake would get down to my price I wanted to pay.

I think $24k would be a great price as long as it had premium and Nav. I was able to find one with 37k miles and about 10 months left on the bumper to bumper warranty for $22,350 but it only had the premium package. I found one with tech and Nav for 24.5k but decided I didn't want to spend that much for something I would not use very often.

--just noticed you are looking at an xS! I think that price is VERY good. I wish I could have found an S under 24k around here.

yah...i am on the same boat as you. The listed price for 08 G are always above 25K for CPOs over here, the one I saw in Boston was listed $ 24K. Like you said, I also don't need nav or whatever stuff, they are useless to me.

I got my CPO xS for around 26k at Tim Dahle Infiniti (SLC). It took me about 4 hours to talk them down many thousands of dollars.(I had an 04 x trade in which they ended up giving me $4000 more than their original offer, plus they took about $3k off the price of the car) I finally got the price down by almost walking out the door. After i agreed to the deal, the sales manager's quote was, if you walked away from this deal, you should've shot yourself." Apparently for SLC it was a killer deal. Maybe not for other areas, but from what I've seen from that dealership, I did well.

I'm not familiar with how long the CPO warranty is but the 08 will still have bumper to bumper coverage due to the 4yr 60,000 factory coverage. You will howerver want to check the date it went into service bc that warranty could be up in January or you could have all the way until December of next year. Just a thought, I did not buy a CPO since my 08x had just over 25k on it and I plan on going to the dealership before my bumper to bumper runs out to fix all the small things.

that is what i was thinking too, because the engine in both G35X and XS are the same, the differences btw two are the seats and suspensions, right?

Yah..I asked infiniti dealership for all scheduled maintenance on this vehicle through email, and he told me that he has all the records from legit Inifiniti dealership maintenance from 4/8/08 up to 10/11/11. He also told me that this vehicle was a personal lease, and i did the auto check on the vehicle, rate 92...so it's above the normal range. As for Manufacturer warranty, I need to double check with him tomorrow since they don't provide CarFax on their website but the first service was done on 4/08, so shouldn't be expired til 04/12. I am pretty picky when it comes to used car, so hopefully this is the one because I am tired of searching...gonna go down for test drive this weekend (finger cross), otherwise, I am gonna go for my last choice, 08 Lexus IS250

Yes and more...you can read all the differences here http://infinitihelp.com/models/2008/...ifications.htm Just go to the bottom and read what the sport pkg adds (and doesn't) when combined with the X.

NO, at least not unless they had to take it in for service the day it was purchased. The "In Service" date refers to when the vehicle was first put into service, meaning purchased and driven off the dealer's lot. It IS NOT when it was first taken into the service department for service. Any dealer can tell you the correct date with the vin number, or if you have any dealer repair invoice, it will also be stated on there.

wow you got an xs for that cheap? thats a good deal. i bougght my 08 xs in february and paid like 28k plus another 1.5k to get it CPO. and i had to go to Long ISland to get mine as CT places were all at least 1k more. mine has nav and tech and all that. the only thing missing is that cruise control feature thing and the moving headlights. i think maybe the tech package had that.
