Just throwing my experience in about extended warranties. I bought a 100k/4yr full coverage warranty from Lexus that is backed by Penske racing And I only paid $1400 for that which was $1000 cheaper than the third party places I had checked before.

Pricing varies by how many miles you have on your car. There are incremental pricing points depending on mileage, so you may pay see the price jump disproportionately if you're just over a threshold; likewise, yours may be hundred less than someone with just a few (but enough) miles more than you.

If you get a quote from Scottdale Infiniti or Circle Infiniti (both online), the pricing should be the same providing you're not in a state with prohibitive laws like FLA. (California will not be a problem).

There are definitely options that will go past 100k. I think I've seen as much as 120k. Depending on what mileage you're at when you buy it, and which plan you buy, the mileage adds on top of what you've got, so if you're at 59k and you buy a 60k plan, you are covered to 119k or until time runs out.

Interesting... I looked at my warranty receipt just now, and it all goes by 100k from the original inservice date... doesn't that mean if the car came with 23k miles used, it's a 100k TOTAL... not 123k?

^^ It could be. Hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think below a certain mileage they sell one kind of warranty and those only go to 100k, but if you're up higher in mileage when you buy one, they can sell one which will add on from where you are... or something like that.

If you want the definitive answer, I'd suggest calling Courtney at Scottsdale Infiniti. She's a pro!

My thanks to the mods for keeping this thread useful.

And folks please, from here on out, let's not promote any individuals for warranty sales, as that has obviously proved to be problematic. The fact is, there a handful of online dealerships who sell the Eltte warranty at VERY competitive pricing. Dealing with pretty much any rep from any of those vendors should yield an excellent bargain for the price conscious among us. If we let this thread become a shameless bunch of self-promotion for any particular individual, it will probably get deleted (again) and we'll lose the info that is here. Bottom line, let's keep it clean folks!
