Hey guys,

So A 37 coupe parked next to me at bestbuy today and i noticed he had the "IPL" emblem in the back. I know that Infiniti came out with the "Infiniti Performance Line" in 2011 , but ... Would it be so wrong if i was to get this emblem? I really like the look and not too many people know this emblem. Just wanted some insight.

I have one on my 2004 sedan and I love it. It's something different that the other guys aren't doing.

what you do with your car is completely up to you. As bluedevils95 stated we would be able to tell if its the real deal or not. But hey man, as stated before do as you please and forget the rest, any criticism would just be an opinion.

Its just like putting the S for Sport on your G. It ant a true sport, I might have installed the padel shifters and installed an aftermarket limited slip differential but the car is still not a Sport.

Is yours an IPL? no? i think you answered your own question.

I cant stand it when i see 335s with M3 badges or TLs with a "S" badge on them. the badge is there for a reason, to identify what kind of car it is. if youre going for a different look try debadging. maybe remove the G35 and Infiniti lettering and just leave the Mount Fugi.

I'm not much for emblems personally i like badgeless, but it is your car dude. do whatever feels comfortable with you. it doesn't look bad and at least it pertains to infiniti.

At least it pertains to Infiniti but just like i said earlier if it ant a true IPL theirs no point in putting it on the car. Just like i would love to put an S on my infiniti but its not a true sport so i dont. It might just be better to go badgeless. Take the G label out and leave Infiniti still looks good.

This is simple, NO! It makes you nothing more than a poser. You have a nice car, don't denigrate it and try to make it something it isn't. Anyone that is actually familiar with IPL will know it's a phony and any who isn't familiar won't care. Who are you hoping to impress? Some chick asking what the IPL badge means? Are you then going to lie about it? Seems kind of pathetic to me. Either leave your badges as is, or debadge.

i used to drive a 98 altima and was on another forum before i came lurking here. some of them put bluebird badges on their cars, but they weren't true bluebirds. it's all a matter of your personal liking. some people still like the looks and sound of a universal fart can muffler. hey if that floats their boat then so be it.
