07g35x vs 09g37x

Hey people I need some advice on what to consider doing. I have a 2007 g35x that I love with the exception of no iPod integration and light leather color. Im at an interesting point because mine has 49000 miles and I'm thinking about getting the extended warranty but then I thought if I upgrade then I will buy more time on that while getting the options I want. I'm only doing this if I at a min break even with getting ride of mine. So I'm asking is it worth going newer and changing cars or just settle and deal. I'm a mechanic so the light leather sucks badly even if I'm clean I feal as though I'm getting it dirty

ive got an 07 g35x, its been at the dealer for the past 4 days getting a windshield wiper replaced. They gave me the 2011 g37x loaner, and man i am in love. BUT..... i cant justify spending the extra 10kish to get the front end, the ipod integration and rear view camera. i also like the way the g35 drives. its more responsive than the 37, im guessing because of 5 speed transmission vs 7 speed. the 5 speed is much more responsive and torquey to me. just me .02

I guess I'm just surprised they are taking so long to do such a simple job

its the rear windshield, they attempted to repair the defroster and werent pleased with the results. now they just placed an order for the rear windshield to have it shipped there. then they will install it. i dont mind, free loaner, 2011 g37x. and everythings bein done free

I've got an 07 g35x, and had a loaner '11 g37x for a week. After extensive driving in it, I felt like the 3.7 seemed a tad bit more refined, and slightly more torque. I also think the newer transmission is a tad better as well. I think the interior is no better at all in the '11 vs. the '07. In fact, I like my interior better if anything (gauge colors, metal trim). I did like the backup camera though.

If the difference is $10k, I'd say definitely keep the 35x, and maybe add some aftermarket stuff if you want a bit of a refresh.

I've had a few loaners with the 7spd transmission and I prefer the 5spd. Maybe if the 7 was more transparent during shifts (less noticeable). Just seemed like it shifted too often.

I'm not sure what the price diff is for the 2011 because I was considering the 2009 g37x. I found a 09 with 12k miles in the color I want for 25k so it's seems like a decent price but now I'm thinking I will wait a few years. I'm irritated with my drivers seat wear and I know the same thing will happen on the newer model year .... I'm looking into the USA spec iPod/iPhone adapter and getting seat covers for now

i drove the 7 AT and i HATED it...always looking for gears and having rough changes.

Would never get a new one until they change the trans

Maybe he is getting the windshield wiper sprayer assembly replaced. Mine got clogged and had to be replaced under extended warranty... if it's the blades then

I also did not like the 7-speed tranny, so unless that changes I will be shopping for something other than Infiniti in a few years

get the warranty... without doing the calculations I'd say its riskier to get another car that you don't know the history of and would be pricier.

I agree. The warranty makes more sense. In the long term, paying to upgrade to the '11 G37x will have costed much much more. Besides, you know your car well, and as long as you take good care of it, it will last for sure, backed up by the peace fbmind of the warranty.

Big reason why this is my last infiniti for a while until they fix it. The down shifts in those were horrible and i am having issues in my 5AT..my issues aren't even as bad as the 7AT up AND downshifts
