I "Nailed" My Steering Wheel :)
#16
I had my door handles and steering wheel replaced thank goodness while still under warranty. But I am totally disappointed when I hear of other owners that have the same issue and are left to deal with it on their own. While I am patiently waiting on the next generation G sedan, it definitely gives me doubts as to the integrity of how Nissan has decided to handle such a nasty cosmetic issue.

As Said its temporary, once spring sets in and I know I wont need to drive somewhere for a full day, I plan to remove the wheel and trim and either paint it or wrap it

They finally addressed this issue on the 2010+ sedans. They now come with satin black hard plastic trim without the rubber coating.

I don't understand how you ended up with two steering wheels? Doesn't the dealer ALWAYS keep the original part that has been replaced for proper reimbursement from the factory? Besides, given that that's a very expensive part; how did you end up getting to keep the old and keep the new as well ???? I don't get it.

OK, so then how did you end up with an extra one to sell? I still don't get where the extra one originated from, but then I was sort of assuming it started with a warranty job. I guess it could have come from any number of used sources as well. I couldn't imagine anyone forking out over a grand for a new wheel.

1. He Buys the Spare one from BlueDevils
2. He Takes the Spare wheel he just purchased and gets it re-done
3.. He gets HIS wheel replaced under warranty.
4. He then removed the new wheel from Infiniti and Replaces with the spare he sent away to get wrapped and all done up.
5. He has a New Wheel left over to sell.

I totally got how it all happened for J2S2M; what I was asking the second time was where/how did BlueDevils come up with the wheel. The basic question is where did the EXTRA wheel originally come from.
