I saw on several forums there were many experiencing any of the following complaints: engine hesitation at idle, engine speed drops lower than expected, or engine shuts down at idle.
There was recently a service bulletin released regarding this. I wanted to share since many were having this issue.

thanks, is there a pdf print out for it? i want to print the TSB out and take it to the dealer.
I will look and see if I can get one. I don't know for sure.
Have not found the bulletin pdf. I would just call Infiniti/Nissan and notify them of Service Bulletin Number: 317376

I've been noticing the same problem: upon start up and at idle. On start up, my rpms will drop below 1 and sound/feel like it's going to die before returning to normal. On idle, it does same thing if I rev my engine. I have an 08 6MT.
I have yet to take my car to the dealer. Anyone know what's going on?

Techs at work (Suzuki) believe it is the throttle body ( throttle body position sensor ). May need a flash. Shouldnt be too bad of a fix. But again this is based off general knowledge of a car, its workings and coming from a Suzuki technician. So... Quote button disabled lol ( Don't quote me )

UPDATE: I just checked it out; the bulletin in your link is the same as the first one in the link I gave (ITB11-018). For anyone who wants the pdf, you can get it through that link (you just create an account on Infinitihelp to enable downloads).

Thanks guys for providing insightful feedback - unlike others who care to just critique on how one posts.
Hopefully this "low RPM" issue is nothing serious.

Tech's said this wont really cause anything more than irritation. But that is enough for me to bring it in for warranty work.

I am soooo glad to see Nissan has decided to address the issue after I sold my car lol. The G was idling low everyday and would cut off atleast once a day. It just got to be too annoying. The dealer said there were very few with this issue a year and a half or so ago and agreed to order the throttle body position sensors under warranty I was right at 69k. Timing was jus perfect so I sold it anyway. Congrats on the TSB!
I hope everyone with a g gets this done. I see it like this : Tbps is not serviceable. Therefore the tb must be replaced. That is going to cost then a fortune. Even as warranty work. Which pays half the hrs at a dealer as if it was customer cost.
P.s. can we keep this bumped for a week or so since a lot of members may or may not have this issue and it's , well , important information.
