Pull the door handle as if you were going to open it, then put a rolled up towel in-between the handle and the door to keep it open.

Then using the pic below as reference, use a small flathead screwdriver or what ever you have that is able to get into the space to lift the tab up. As you are lifting the tab, pull on the cover to remove it.

Good to hear.

Sure that's possible. What is the last change that you made to your car before the problems started happening? Once you answer that, you'll figure it out .... then just reverse or fix it

Cheap bulbs, no.

Do you have a grounding kit? I know some blamed the kit in a few posts I've read, accusing the main battery ground wire to be the culprit (I'm not saying it is, just what I've read).

Aftermarket stereo?

How old is/was the battery?

If none of the above, think you have a bad alternator

Ive had a grounding kit on for 4 years now. No aftermarket audio. Battery is 2 days old. According to the battery tester, when the car is off, sometime tries to turn on every 10sec that is pulling 5.7amps

5.7 amps? WTF, no wonder the battery is dead

So nothing new since installing the new battery?

If you can readily see when it's drawing current, you can start troubleshooting by pulling fuses on individual circuits until you find the one that's causing the current draw and then go from there.

BTW, props to willdogs for his 12 minute response time and perfect answer to the OP

Nothing has changed. 2 weeks ago changed the headlight bulbs. That's it. Something is drawing a lot of power. What would try to be turning on and off? Car is under warranty so car got dropped off at the dealer. I'm standing by for diagnosis

Still got the oem bulbs? You can try re-installing them, but I doubt it's that since the bulb itself doesn't draw power (ballasts/ignitors), but you can always try pulling the H/L fuse and see if the draw stops.

No way it can be the bulbs. The headlight circuit is not even on with the car off. There is something screwy with the car though if it is pulling that much current. That said, your new battery won't last long if it keeps discharging completely. I would keep it on a battery charger until you find things out. I might even take it to the dealer if nothing is obvious, like a powered sub that won't turn off.
