30k Mile Service.... WTF

So I went to Nissan since Infiniti isn't close to me and this is what they quoted me

Brake fluid service $90
In cabin filter $75
Fuel systel cleaning $17
m/t service $120

And since I want to get the extended warranty on my car and they have to do the cert pre-owned checklist it's $96

Insane, I'm going to do it all myself I know there is some write-ups on the forum for these things (I believe).

Seems about right for dealer pricing.

Pre-owned checklist is just a safety inspection which is an hour labour.

I can't get the extended warranty at nissan, they can just do the inspection since my G is out of warranty. They seemed a little confused, they thought it was a auto and that you could rotate the wheels :facepalm, they ment well....

Is there any videos on the brake flush and m/t service? I know there is threads.

Thanks, got the list today. I'm worried a few things won't pass. Stupid small stuff.

Anyway, I plan to do all the 30k work myself, is there some good DIY videos by chance? I've seen in the in cabin one, as well as the m/t DIY guide but I was hoping for a video, some spots I don't know what he's doing as I've never done it before.

What about your belt, not going to change that as part of your 30K? I just went to my usual Nissan dealer to get my oil changed on Sat and since im at 55K I asked them how much was for the 60K service so they gave me a pamplet $710 + tax, tranny service, in cabin filter, replace oil and filter, front end alignment, and everything else is just "CHECK" Awww I'd like to see where $710 is going pls hahaha.

DAMN!! 710.. u know they charge about 95 or 98 bucks an hour for labor. Its prolly like 200 for parts and stuff. The other is for walking around talking to other techs.. it's really like 3 hours worth of work.

Sounds right. I did my 60k service on my Infiniti and they wanted alittle over $1k. I had the vehicle checked over by an Nissan mechanic i know and everything looked ok with him. I needed to change at the time Transmission Fluid, Rear Differential Fluid, Power Steering Fluid, Coolant, Drive Belt. I have everything done besides the drive belt for around $500 with oil change and filter plus nitrogen added in tires.

I don't think belts need to be changed at 30k, I think that's overkill. I've already looked at them and they look completely fine.

Where can I find a in-cabin filter for only $15? Also still looking for videos, I'm worried about pulling the plastic out of my car and damaging it!

WOW, You say insane, but I'd say, for a dealership, these are actually on the cheap side of what many would quote. If that's a full flush on the brake fluid, it's not bad at all, nor is the mt fluid change. The filter is excessive though. Certainly you can DIY for less, but seriously, you should see what others quote for these services.

I highly doubt your belts need changing either.

If the brake fluid is clear and a light amber color, u don't need it flushed.

In cabin filter u can do ur self with the diy on this site.
