Wow. I feel like I just bought it last year and now its got a ton of miles on it. Here my summed up feelings on the car thus far.
I have always had mixed feelings about this car. I love it 95% of the time, and wish it was the 335i I didn't buy the other 5%. The handling on the Sport package is great. With 100K on it, it is not as tight as it used to be, but still great. Tires are expensive, so I troll craigslist for replacements. Winter sucked without snow tires. Problem now addressed with second set of wheels.
I only have a cold air intake and Cobb tuner on it so while I have few mods to complain about power... any upgrade path short of turbo seems expensive and unfruitful.(hence the 335i lust).
Gas mileage could be better. I average 25, all highway. If I concentrate and use the force, I can get 27+, but it is no fun AT ALL.
The dealer has been great for addressing my warranty issues and dealing with a DIYer like myself who is too cheap to even let them change the oil.
But all said and done, it still looks great, still sounds great, and is not likely soon to be replaced.

I never thought these cars were the absolute end all; just that they were an incredible value for all things considered with very few apologies at the end of the day. My '07 has only 56K on her now, but I expect to be happily rowing that 6 speed well past the 100k mark as well. I think the appeal is only likely to grow too, as there are fewer and fewer rear drive manual transmission cars being produced every year. When the time comes, what would I replace it with that didn't have huge compromises?
Thankfully, I'm not looking forward to that any time soon.

Great to hear! So, no repairs outside of normal maintenance? Did you do all the recommended service intervals?

Im happy you to hear that! gives me hope seeing how mine just passed 75000. Although the infiniti by me managed to destroy my transmission ( see other thread somewhere on here haha) I have a almost new tranny. What tires are you looking for. I had continentals and now Goodyear eagle F1's and i love them both. The eagles were like 400 for 4 new tires which I didn't think was to bad. Keep us updated on what mods are next. I am also interested in your Cobb tunner, do you feel a significant power gain ?
Change oil every 7500, did tranny and rear fluid at 95k, serp belt at 65K. Brakes when needed. That's almost all I did.

Thats great! i have 60k and hope it last forever lolol. love the car and ready to throw cash at to really mod but theres pros and cons to that. good luck and good to here

OP glad to hear the car is solid even after 100k without major headaches how do you drive your car most of the time since that is a BIG factor in how long the car lasts without major repairs as in your case mostly highway would help the car last much longer... do you occasionally hit the red line? otherwise do you mostly just cruise?
