When I returned my 07X, after 4 years and ~70k km of mostly city driving, the battery showed no signs of degradation. I had no electrical modifications other than adding the plug and play Nissan OEM iPod adapter.
I'm just at 12k km on the new ride and it's been equally as reliable as the X. No issues to speak of, including the battery.

maybe seemed a little sluggish starting when the temperatures dropped this late fall, but at a recent service check the battery was tested.
no electrical mods, but i do leave an ipod connected 24/7 and am always using it while driving.

Changed the battery out myself- but I had no problems at all.

Are your connections tight? Make sure the terminals are fully tightened so they don't slip off. Someone had an issue with that and the car would shut off.

sorry if, you can connect a battery tester or bring it to autozone, they can do a load test to it on the spot. Usually that's an indication its toast.. you will notice it has a harder time starting etc, ones a cell breaks.

I just replaced mine a couple of months ago at about 75k miles, about 4 years. I added a subwoofer and amp to my stock system but the battery showed signs of needing replacement even before the system.

I changed my battery when i notice the start ups were getting harder and slower. The car was especially hard to start after sitting more than 2 or 3 days.

When i got a PPI at 3 years and 24k the battery failed the test, but it was $75 to replace under the factory prorated warranty.

Been fine for eight months and 27k, but I would imagine it will slow down any day now.

Heat kills car batteries. My car came from Phoenix, and its battery lasted 3 3/4 years and 63k miles. Totally stock.

My G is 4 years old and sitting at 40k miles. I believe my battery is starting to tank. I have stock electronics, and have only run just battery a few times, far less than I have with any previous vehicle. One time I did leave it on too long, requiring a jump start. I didn't keep track of exactly how long, but didn't seem all that long though. Just recently, I didn't drive my car for 3-4 days, and the battery was dead when I finally went to start it. It also seems a little sluggish on startup at times.

For the ones that have replaced their batteries, did you go OEM or aftermarket?

You would get one of those lightweight odessy batteries, would shave off 20lbs easy I just got a costco replacement, you can't see it anyways under the cover, and it was only about $68.

Costco battery for me too. They're very well reviewed and reasonably priced.
