brake squeal.... looks normal to me...
Well, it certainly appears that there's lots of pad thickness left, but I'm not liking the grease buildup along the edge of the pad there. If there's a squeal, it makes me wonder if some traveled onto the rotor and glazed the face of the pads. Hard to tell from just a single picture and no history though.
Let's try that one more time

unless im missing something i dont see any grease on the rotor's brake sweeping area, i just see grease on the back of the pad which is very normal and used to avoid squealing noises, perhaps adding a light fresh layer of it behind the pad on the shims would help alleviate the issue

Hopefully his resolution is a simple one.
How loud is the squeal? I have an 07 with the sports package, and my car's brakes sometimes squeal very lightly from time to time, especially in close quarters like drive thru windows or pulling out of a tight parking space. I brought this up with my mechanic and he said that is most likely brake dust buildup.
Its feint but noticeable... I just wanted to make sure the pads were good so it doesn't eat into the rotors. I have 23k on the rotor but it still looks fresh.... I guess oem pads last a while??
