Driving along the other day when the car acted like it was gonna die and rpm's just dropped off!! I'm thinking WTF right. Got home and ran a diagnostic on it and it gave me a code for something weird. I know my car is out of warranty when it hits me! I bought this car CPO. So I call the dealer and relayed the info to them. This was about 11am on a Saturday. They said bring it in and we will take a look. Dropped the car off 20 mins later, picked up a 2012 G37 Loaner, nice ride btw, and crossed my fingers hoping for the best. Got a call Monday saying the part is warrantied, turns out it was a mass air flow sensor, and I only have to pay $50 deductible! Score, so I mention the chipped steering wheel, and boom, they replaced it too! When I picked up the ride, they had it washed, detailed, new steering wheel, and even noticed it was slightly out of alignment so they performed an alignment too! The service attendant even remembered my kid was with me on Saturday and sent a cookie with me to give him when I got home. I ended up getting over $1900 worth of repairs on my 07 Jrny with 53k miles for $50. I am stoked that I bought the car CPO, and will tell anyone that CPO warranty seems better than new car warranty by far. 100k miles 3 years from date of purchase.

Good for you, only real time to go to the dealership is if your stuff is still under warranty. Moral of the story, test your MAF by deciding to street race...

Seriously, please never mention that part of the story on here again - street racing isn't taken lightly, and you should probably consider your priorities next time a 'vette stops next to you at a light, considering you have a kid. Acknowledge each others' cars and be on your way.

I have no problem mentioning the not street racing part, but don't tell me not to do it because I have a kid. He was not in the car. I am not that irresponsible. Don't tell me you never pulled up next to someone and wanted to see how quick your car is either.

I was looking out for your safety in the future in relation to your kid. I wouldn't accuse you of putting your kid's life in danger. And no, I have never once wanted to see how quick my car is on the street, against someone, beating a red light, whatever the case may be - there are tracks for that - I turn and take other routes when other Z's and G's rev me to race, it's irritating. I'm not here to debate driving styles or your responsibility, so I'll let it go.

I do not think they will do alignments unless you are purchasing something that requires one, like tires or something of that natrure

I think they did the alignment because they changed the steering wheel. Could think of no other reason why they would do it for free.

That's a pretty good dealership you got there!! I hope the one I bought my car from is as nice as that one when I take my car in for service next month, I also have a chipping steering wheel. Don't take the other poster's comments too personally. Yeah, be carefull on the streets, some cities/counties are pretty tough when they catch someone street racing. But telling someone that's still young and enjoys driving their sports car not to have fun once in a while is like telling Lindsay Lohan not to do drugs!

Right, I am young and I like to think I am a really safe driver. I mean I average like 22mpg so you know I'm driving like a grandma most of the time!
