It almost looks OEM and nice and low profile. Just wanted to give a heads up incase anyone wanted a nice cheap mod that looks good.

Compact Flash Memory slot

Was it easy to wire it in there?

WOW, I really like that adapter. I will add it to my cart of future purposes. I have two of those already that have 2 USB port on it but they are huge and have to be unplugged when not in use in order to not be in the way. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the idea...I just ordered one made by the same company that's currently going for $11.99 with two charging ports.

I was going to get that one as well until I noticed how large it is. Being that it is dual port, it is not low profile and looks like it will stick out quite a bit and you will be unable to close the lid.

If you are fine with that then

No wiring, just pop it into the cigarette lighter port

Good catch. I one-click ordered pretty fast but I think I was able to cancel the order in time. I ended up ordering the one linked in your original post.

Thanks for the heads up.

Snazzy! I bought a Belkin kit and it's similar, but the LED on it is much brighter and an obnoxious green.

I sometimes have to push it in hard to get power. Seems a bit picky about placement. Is yours the same?

Didn't notice until the pic, but it looks like those two circular grooves on the bottom of the ash tray look like they can hold cigarettes! Perhaps between drags? Haha. Also side-notice, it looks like the tray is removable? Anything cool behind it or can you expand the storage space by removing the physical ash tray? (non-smoker)

I would go outside and check it out myself but I live in a college apartment complex and my baby's on the other end of the lot

Placement isn't picky from what I can tell.

Yes the tray is removable for extra storage space. I don't smoke either but guess I've been lazy to remove lol. I fear I might lose it?
Even when removed its not much bigger' it's about as wide as my blackberry

You can get one at a fraction of the cost here (if you dont mind waiting 3 weeks): http://www.dealextreme.com/p/car-cig...k-dc-12v-65855

Personally I have one of those mini-rechargeable flashlights stuck in there (similar to http://www.dealextreme.com/p/car-cig...e-dc-12v-34929)

I bought a dual USB port one that fits into the cigarette lighter from Walgreens for $10 which comes in a few colors, and sold separately are color matched USB/iPhone cables for probably $5/each. It's slightly loose when it's in (when it's in the cig lighter port; sorry I don't know the name of it) but barely sticks out when it's in there. Just another alternative for someone who wants to get one locally.
