Plastic Cover Gone.....

So the other day i was on the highway (nighttime) cruising at 71 mph when there was something on the highway.. tried to avoided coudent ran over it after running over it i saw right underneath my car in my rear view mirror just disintegrate. What it looked like was a huge piece of mud that was harden that fell off one of those construction trucks.

Anyway i herd something scrapping pulled the car over my license plate hider that was underneath my car was destroyed ( the plastic cover that holds it, and my license plate was all messed up) so i went to take it off then i saw my plastic cover the one that covers the oil pan was hanging on my car so loose that i just ended up pulling it off. Now i have the big piece of the plastic underneath my car is on but its like hanging and the the other piece that covers the oil pan is completely gone i took it off. Gots to love the roads in ny state.

Now my question is should i worry about replacing that piece of plastic and if so i would like to buy the whole piece both the bigger one and the smaller one, now i have no idea where to look for this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Thank you.

The big panel is about $100. you can find them used at a wrecking yard, or pick up a new one from a discount dealership. Here's a random one that came up qickly under a google search.

I'd also suggest checking with Phil@GrubbsInfiiniti. They
are sponsors here and good folks.

You could replace it with an aluminum one.

I couldn't tell from your description, but if the cover is relatively intact then it may have just been the clips that broke.

If that's the case, just get new clips.

Good point Mike. Sometimes you can also use washers under the bolts to spread the contact out a bit if the cover has holes that have been torn through around the holes.
