Just got my 08 G35xs, wanting opinions on changes to appearance
Hello, this is my first post here, and my first Infiniti
I will post photos later, but I right now I have a 2008 G35xs in pearl white, I recently got 18" all black wheels, and I am considering:
Painting the roof black (or putting on a black vinyl)
Painting the calipers red or yellow
Tinting the windows fairly heavily
I already have a small spoiler (I am not sure if that comes standard on the S models), so what are your opinions on these additions to the appearance, tell me if they'd look tacky, or cool, or overdone. Any info you have on these I'd like to hear.

As far as the wheels go, it will be better once we see them before giving an opinion. Are they 100% black or chrome lipped...etc.
There are lots of white G's with black vinyl overlays on the roof. I like the look. I wouldn't paint the roof black though.
I wouldn't paint the brake calipers unless they are similar to the Akebono BBK. It also depends on the 18" wheels you have and how they would look together.
Tint it for sure.

Congrats on the car, and welcome. First, I agree, the black vinyl overlay on the roof is an excellent idea, and it will go well with tinted windows, since your car is white, it'll look good. I wouldn't personally paint the calipers, 'cause that screams rice. I would, however, get a BBK, if your budget allows of course. Besides this, paint the rear "diffuser" and get yourself a front bumper lip.

Congrats on the new ride, welcome to the forum!
Hate to say it but not a fan of the wheels. in your first picture the wheels seem to get lost in the tire and fender, can't see the pattern of the wheel.
Of your listed mods, I would go for the roof overlay and stick to black on the caliper color, unless you go BBK in which you could probably expand your color choioces.

All right I'll probably just keep the calipers the same color then, they look good enough right now.
and to drivethefive, that was a bad picture because the lighting didn't help out very much. The wheels usually look more defined more often then not.
For those who have painted/vinyled their roof black, how much did it cost for you?
