Doing my own oil change
I haven't done a blackstone analysis, but I go 5000-6000 miles between oil changes on synthetic. As far as an oil filter wrench goes, I use an oil filter socket like
, but that fits our cars. It was about $10 at autozone. BTW, how important is it to replace the crush washer? I've never replaced mine in the past 6 oil changes and haven't had any leaks.
Here's a good video, using sound and correct procedures on how to change oil on an 08. (Though personally I don't smear quite as much oil on the filter gasket...just enough to lube it)

Thanks for all of this info guys
, and that video too was a nice touch =) I just picked up my filter and crush washer at Infiniti while I was there. And hope to pick up the rest of the stuff this weekend.

Here's my old running UOA thread, i'll try to remember to post the newest stuff.
Just use the amsoil signature, good for 15k or 1 year whichever comes first. You do nee their ea oil filter too. I'm doing that now on my G and wife's altima (they use the same filter).
Also you have to get the crush washer from dealer - they do not sell them at autozone, just universal ones.
The reason I change my own (8 bucks is fair for labor if you bring in the oil+filter to the nissan dealer) is I want to do it on a saturday and now wait around forever. I can do it myself and save the time - or do it on sunday which you can't do at the dealer. Plus I don't trust anyone to put all the clips and screws back in, seems like there is always one missing when someone else touches it (My G had a missing clip from the infiniti dealer).
With the amsoil it's even less of an issue
