billet grille

I own a 07 sedan and under the main grille there's 3 billet grilles, the middle one I'm fine with but the two side billets that are covered by the ugly plastic covering is really annoying me. I tried searching up for guides on how to take them off but I came up empty handed. Can someone tell me how to take them off? I'm for sure going to get a after market one in there but for the time being I would like the plastics things off and leave them empty. thanks!

I believe they are either molded in the bumper or are secured by clips on the backside. While it may look better with them off, I think the designers of this car, and others, leave that closed for airflow though I personally don't see how it could hurt. Just be careful of water and debris getting in there and getting stuck because of the plastic undershroud.

Sport bumper or Base/Journey/X bumper?
Either way, I'm pretty certain they are not removable. You will need to cut them.
Years ago a forum member took the time to Dremel out the plastic so they would appear to be functional and allow air to pass through. I can't find that thread though.

Is this the type of project you are looking for?

Its a x model. So pretty much its attached to the bumper with adhesives or like just 1 piece with the bumper? I heard somewhere for like a valance light thread that it takes heat and force to take them out, idk if its true.

Not sure, but there are other vendors/distributors that sell billet grills for our cars, including CarID. Seems as though the pieces are molded into our bumper so no adhesives, at least the ones you'd like to be there for ease...

The installation for this product states "Bolt Over/Overlay/Bolton (Drilling Required)".
It goes over the oem plastic.

As we have said, the lower plastic grilles are one piece with the bumper. If you want them out you will need to cut them.
