XM Radio Renewed, $77/Year Deal Gone

Just a heads up for those of you who are up for renewal

My subscription was going to be up on 10/5/12, so I called today to get the jump on asking for the $77 a year deal again. The CSR advised that the $77/year is no longer available, so when I said I wanted to cancel, she did say that now they can offer me $86/year. Needless to say I took it

I also use my XM internet app when on the Train or in my house, so I re-upped that as well.

She gave me the following:

1 yr XM Service w/ internet access- $128 (Including $5.00 Credit since I re-upped a month early)

I killed my Live traffic service for now since I really didn't use it to begin with, including live traffic I would have been in the $205+ range.... Not worth it - I rather use live traffic on my android phone.

I can live with $128

No need to worry again about this until 9/2013

Good luck all!

Honestly, If I hadnt gotten hooked on Opie and Anthony, I probably wouldn't have upped my subscription either. The Sound quality is horrible.

Happened to me too. I had the date wrong for when I thought I was up for renewal. Had the $77/yr for the past year and called to try to get that rate on 3/21. Turns out my year was up on 3/12. I got billed for 2 years, $350, automatically and it was such a pain to try to cancel and get a refund that I just said screw it and took the hit on the wallet. Just need to remember to cancel it before 3/12/14.

That's the only thing, you have to be sure to call BEFORE it automatically re-ups. I had set reminders on my phones calendar lol. This saved me $$$

Once they auto charge you full price, there is no getting that money back.
