I am very inclined to agree with VQ on this one. I had the same issue at least twice in the past. It was always alignment related. The last time happened a day right after my routine alignment --- this time it seems mr. alignment professional forgot to tighten the bolts properly. I hit a small dip on the road (hit this every day, so it's not the problem!) and for the rest of the day until i got back to the shop, the steering wheel just kept tilting more and more to the left.

By the time i got to the shop, the wheel was practically at a 45 degree angle while going straight.

Fixed alignment, double-checked bolts and voila. Everything is fixed again. And yes, i still hit that same dip without issue.

Worst-case, your caster is totally off on one side. Sadly that can't be adjusted in OEM-spec.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I think the steering wheel itself is off-centered....I had the whole wheel replaced due to chipping and it seems like it may not have been put on properly. As for the car swerving to the right, I called up the dealership and they said to bring the car back in and they'll take a look at it. I am inclining towards it being something else....as the problem hasn't gone away after 3 alignments at 3 separate shops. Fingers-crossed.

That happened to me too. It was off center to begin with, but then when the dealer fixed the chipping paint it was way off. Its a quick adjustment.
