High Start up RPM

Everyday I start my morning commute by starting the car and letting it run for about 1-2 minutes, because when I start the car the RPMs are right at 2000. It takes about 1-2 minutes before it comes down to 1000. That's when I leave the driveway. Is this normal or a sign of a potential problem?

That's normal. But i never let my car warm up for 2 minutes. More like 20 seconds and i just take off but i always drive easy until i see my car is warmed up.

It depends on how cold it is. I usually don't let my car warm up and it's still fine lol. Revving to 2k and dropping to. 1k is perfectly normal. Don't worry about it
