Anyway to update radio display to better resolution?

I have an 08x and my cousin just bought a 2013 model JX and the resolution is incredible. I have had my car now 1.5 years and wanting to give it a little update somewhere and this seems like a good start.

Wasn't sure that was compatible or if there is an aftermarket option?

That display has been in the G37s since 2010. That was when they got the update.

^ yup you are correct i always forget that 2010 was the year that they started the new style g37s. As for the compatibility though not a 100% sure i would like to say it would be a simple plug'n'play but it would be better to check out the wiring diagram to be 100% certain before buying it. I remember someone posting diagrams for both years to compare a while back so try searching for it

it's not Plug-n-play. The 2010 nav uses an entirely different video-out than the 2008-9s; it's impossible to replace simply the screen.

To do the swap entails switching the headunit, screen, and rewiring the harness. It's been done, but the one confirmed individual on driver that's done it will not speak about the details / write up a DIY.("If you need a DIY, you shouldn't be doing this.")

A DIY was written over on my37 for converting a non-nav car to nav, but given that both are >2010, it doesn't help us all that much.

If you can't tell, this is one of the next mods on my to-do list I've just been very leery of doing a labor-intensive mod without a DIY on my daily driver!
