Dunlop SP Sport Maxx TT - good tire?
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx TT - good tire?
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
Guys, I had noticed that camber wear ate my tires to sh*t due to poor alignment
and a ProKit so I need to replace them ASAP. I am looking for a good performance tire for my daily driven sedan. I believe the right size is 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. I am looking for launch traction, cornering stability, longevity, and comfort in that order of importance if that makes any sense... I am also trying to save as much as possible while getting quality product. After a short research I had zeroed in on these. What do you think/suggest?
Price is $140 for fronts and $271 for rear and there is a $80 rebate with purchase of 4.

those seem pretty good if you are looking for straight up summer tires, also the Hankook V12 are very popular for summers.
if you are looking for some all season tires, consider the General Gmaxx or the Conti DWS i ran both of those and are excellent tires.

"Summers" are fine by me. Worst I see here is some winter rain for a month or two... Correction: I am getting the whole set for $650 shipped. I think its pretty good for the price... What do you think?
thats a pretty good price especially for 20s, if you are gonna run them year long, i would say all seasons because when the temperature drops below a certain degree the rubber can get really hard on the summer tires.
General G-MAX AS-03 Ultra High Performance All-Season (i currently am running these tires, excellent wet and dry traction very quiet and handles great)
Front $133
rear $179
Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 Max performance Summer (i have these in 19s 245/40 275/35, excellent summer tires, very sticky in the summer and handles exceptionally well in the rain, the sidewall isnt as hard as i would like them to be but they are great tires and great price.
$151/$221
Continental ExtremeContact DWS Ultra High Performance All-Season (i ran these also on my 19s but then sold the set of rims with tires, hands down absolutely love these tires. excellent all season weather and has a nice strudy wall for lower profile tires. really solid tire, can be a bit pricy but totally worth it.)$195/$247
Kumho Ecsta SPT Max performance Summer (ran these tires on another set of 19s 245/35/19 275/30/19 really good tires, very sticky, not as comfortable as other tires i have tried, but def will give you the handling you need. the sidewall is extremely hard which is good again for lower profile tires but that also means u will hear the road a little more.)
$129/$236
Looking at the Dunlop SP SPort Maxx TT, they seem like solid tires, have a very good overall ratings on the survey and i think if you can still get it for that price you should jump on them.

I'm having the same issue with my Goodyear pilot sports...the inside of the tires have worn to the steel belt, the middle/outer part of the tire is just fine.
Is this fixed by a simple alignment? Is there any specific type of alignment I should request? Really pisses me off, b/c I probably only have like 15-20K miles on these tires...
Did you get the alignment done at the dealer or independent shop?

Pretty sure these tires are the ones that come from the factory on the G35/G37xS sedan models. I am almost certain that they are the tires on my new G37. OK tire but nothing spectacular (im a tire snob) they seem to follow the road grooves a lot and don't hold a line super well at high speed..

Chain or independent does not matter to me as long as I know they know what they are doing. Plus, not every shop can get a lowered car on their lifts (or say that coz they don't want to bother).
