Just wondering how often do you need to refill the coolant reservoir?

You mean drain and refill? Or just top off?

I mean just topping it off

I havent topped it off once. Just drain and filled it once. on the other hand have to do it a few times on the 07 TL-S which has no leaks

I have a slow leak that usually pools by the tray underneath the sway. Top it off about once a year.

Did a drain & fill when I switched back my reservoir, and I check it but never needed to top it off. If you have a leak get a pressure test done and find it, they never get better just worse!

I *think* there is a leak somewhere. I saw some coolant on my garage floor on before, and the reservoir is usually bone dry after 2 months or so.

The radiator doesn't run very low, so my guess is somewhere around the bottom of the reservoir or the hose that goes from the reservoir to the top of the radiator.

Checked the oil (dip stick) and the oil is check, I suppose that's a good sign

The coolant level in the radiator is high, but reservoir is running low again.

I am going to try to replace the coolant reservoir and hose (to the radiator) and see that will stop the leak

why would u replace the resevoir? and it aint cheap iirc

Right now, I don't know if its the reservoir or the hose that's leaking ...

I think I will try to replace the hose first and see. If that doesn't fix the leak, then I would have to either take it in to a mechanic or replace the reservoir

u can tell if the res is leaking simply by looking at it

This is your answer....^....if you believe it or not? A simple pressure test will tell you where the leak is so it can be fixed. Don't start replacing parts without knowing where the leak is!

if the leak is visibly falling to the ground shouldnt it be quite easy to get the general area of where its leaking. is op jus being lazy or wat?

If here is no visible trace of where the fluid is going, then as Gary said, a pressure test sounds like the way to go. Besides the obvious, another potential culprit could be your radiator cap.

Dealer said lose hose clamp, lets see if that will fix the leak
