No. Just a screen that's not replaceable.

 

ok thank you,,, been changing all my friends Taurus tranny oil, dropping the pan, and changing the filters in them,,, just couldn't remember about my "good" car. lol

 

I called the dealer and they said they use the Matic S transmission fluid and they flush out everything and replace it with new. $199 is the cheapest I've seen around here, especially for a complete fluid replacement. A drain and fill only replaces about 4 quarts of transmission fluid, less than a third of what is in our transmission.

I expressed concern about flushing causing damage to the transmission and the service advisor told me that the risk is high only if your transmission has never been serviced before and had over 100k miles on it.
