Muffler delete - drone at low rpm's

I have an automatic 2007 g35x sedan. I removed the mufflers only and ran straight pipes in its place with the factory exhaust tips.

I notice that there is drone and resonance vibration throughout the cabin at around 1500-2500 rpm. Above this range it goes away. I am contemplating putting the mufflers back on.

Is there a way for me to reduce the drone? Will putting x pipes help?

The exhaust sounds great otherwise once it goes past 3000 rooms without any drone. I am wondering if others who have done this mod have experienced a similar problem.

If drone is an issue for you, then you should have never got the muffler delete. I have a muffler delete and I don't mind the drone one bit, I actually like it. You should really do some research on mods before you actually do them. Now if you want the drone gone, put the mufflers back on or get some aftermarket resonators. If not, learn to live with it. On the upside, it sounds great on the outside.

If you don't want it loud or hate droning should have never gotten it. I had my muffler delete for over a year now still loving it, but in the beginning it was a little overwhelming. However getting a full exhaust it is still pretty loud, my friend got the Ark and was complaining after he broke it in why it was so loud. Personally I think the muffler delete sounds better from the outside, if you can ever get a friend do a fly by you'll know what I mean :P

You mean put aftermarket resonators in place of where the mufflers used to be?

I added 90 degree branch off pipes and it reduced the low rpm drone quite noticeably. I followed the instructions on the thread below and used 32" pipes.

Yes, that's what I meant. But looks like the branch resonators will work the same.

I wonder if adding additional resonators where the straight pipes are now in addition to the branch resonators would be overkill. What type/size should I buy?

I got rid of most of the drone with the branch resonators. I recommend anybody who does a muffler delete to add this very important component. Now I can cruise drone free. There is still some mild resonance around 2500-3000 rpm but it sounds good compared to mind numbing before.

I'm curious how much did you spend on that branch resonator setup. Because if it is more than a couple hundred that money would go a long way and IMO be better used towards a real exhaust.

$100 for the muffler delete and straight pipes and another $100 for the branch resonators

yikes, so you got rid of your mufflers for $100, then spend another $100 to make it sound like you have mufflers again? scratching my head over here.
