Resetting the ECU cleared this up for me and it never returned, this was a few years back.

Good luck.

*Thanks for the reply on this very old thread btw
When you say resetting the ECU you mean like unplugging the battery for a few minutes? The gas pedal and ignition method? Or going to the dealer to do a proper ECU update/reflash?

Either of these methods will work I suppose. I did the easiest and most basic one (disconnect battery for 30mins) and the hesitation went away. It should be a simple fix.

I have the exact same issue.....

I cleaned the TB's, new air intake filters, MAFS cleaning, new battery, idle relearn procedure, etc... and nothing worked.

Someone here showed me a TSB for this issue and I took it to my Infiniti dealership and showed them the TSB.

They said yeah it's a known issue and took my car around back, flashed the ECU and asked me to test it out, slight hesitation is gone.

Seems like something in the ECU was the problem, maybe how it's linked up to the transmission or something, but for $50 bucks my issue is gone and never came back. I did get an additional bump in MPG from cleaning everything, but in my case the ECU was the culprit.

When you say flash the ECU you dont mean lile a ECU reset by killing the power for 30min or the reset with the pedal.. you mean like flash/update from their system right?
my car does the same thing at operating temperature only and only on Drive or Reverse. I could chase the problem by keeping my foot on the brake and gas keeping the RPM at 900ish it always does it even after a ECU reset (by killing the power for 30mins)

Sorry to revive an old thread. Just got my g35 and this was happening to me as well. Reset ECU and good as new.

I was having the same problem and per ITB11-018 took the G into the dealership for an ECU update. All is now well and the hesitation is gone. $158 and 45 minutes of my time. I tried resetting the ECU several times and that strategy did not work for me.
