instrument cluster

Been having a issue with my instrument cluster I've noted some users have had issues where the led goes out on the rpm side and im one of them so i was thinking of replacing the cluster with a 2010+. Plus i have some clicking noise coming form the cluster supper annoying.

1st question - is the 2010+ instrument cluster compatible i saw some pictures of the connections on the back side and compared and they look almost identical, the 2010 just has more details on the back.

2nd question - how difficult is it to remove the cluster ive read that there are 4 screws holding it in place just dont know were and the service manual does not have instructions on how to remove this.

1) IDK anything about compatibility between G35 and G37 instrument clusters.
2) The FSM definitely covers the removal process. There is even a chapter specifically dedicated to the Instrument Panel.

Here's a link to the IP section of the FSM: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2008/IP.pdf (look somewhere around pages IP-17 thru IP-19)
