2007 g35 sedan no radio, a/c controls don't work, navigation don't work
After lots of searching within the interwebs, it seems that there was no information regarding the issue I had and I wanted to post this in case someone else has the same issue. A video to see what was going on:
There was a lot of information on the 03-04 model having the same issue, but not for the 07-09. . So I purchased a used oem radio off of Ebay. The model number off my unit was 25915 jk61c, but the one I purchased was a different model number (jk63c), I believe from an 08. According to one parts website, they should all be interchangable as long its from a 07-09 model year. The price range for most is between $100-140, I offered one guy $80 and he took it O_o. The white box on top of your radio (passanger control module) isn't needed when purchasing a used radio, you can reuse your old one. To remove the radio, I followed this video:
I would recommend having a pair of extra hands, it is difficult holding the radio and plugging in the clips in the back. I did it by myself, but the back of the radio rubbed up against a part of my dash and left some scratches. The only hiccup, there are two white clips that are exactly the same size, and are keyed the same. You must plug them into the appropriate port. One way to tell is that the clip with the wire going up will plug into the white box, and the clip with the wire going down will plug into the radio, it is also grouped together with the other radio wires.
So a relatively simple fix, and inexpensive at $80.
