Moose's Build Thread: "Kaminari"
Just picked up an mint '07 G35 sedan with 50K. I was looking for a sports sedan with reliability after my Impala SS ate it's 3rd transmission. Unfortunately, after purchasing the G35 and putting it on the highway for the first time, I found a heavy shimmy and lack of damping when hitting bumps. Turns out it has a faulty strut and warped rotors.
I guess now I have a reason to do a suspension build. I'm working on a pretty lax budget, but I'd like to keep it around 1500. I just purchased a pair of Koni's for the front, EBC BSD front rotors, EBC Ultimax pads, and a Eibach anti-roll kit.
My plan is to do the main fix with the parts above first. Then in the future, when I get a proper parts list, replace the rear struts with Koni's and swap the springs out.
Research has led me to the the conclusion, please correct me if im wrong, that I could avoid a camber kit by swapping in a set of revised 350z springs. That will provide me with a mild drop and complete my suspension upgrade without breaking the bank any further.
Pics coming soon.

It was a bit of a gem on the lot. I got it for around 13k. Garage kept by the looks of it and has every maintenance record in the glove box.
You can see how it was hard to resist. I wondered why it didn't sell. Sales records showed it going from dealer to dealer until a couple days before I bought it. I can only suppose no one wanted to do the maintenance rather than a faulty strut just slipping through the cracks.
On the bright side, I've been wanting to do a car suspension build for a long time. The last build I did was a Suzuki SV650. A suspension swap was the best thing I've ever done for a motorcycle.
I cherish handling, so outside of tires, suspension > engine in terms of upgrades for my taste.
