thermostat

I need to replace the thermostat on my 08 g35 and was wondering if upgrading would be worth it or to just buy the OEM? I live in a cold weather area. Didn't know if that mattered or not when letting the car warm up in the winter with an upgraded thermostat.

Not quite sure what you mean when you say "upgraded". Are you referring to a thermostat that is better designed from higher quality materials and of better overall built quality? Or are you simply referring to a thermostat with a different temperature threshold?

There shouldn't be any reason for you to change the temp rating on your thermostat.

I was just wondering if changing the temp would have mattered. But you answered that. Thanks!

Changing the temp rating will matter, but not in a good way for your purposes (i.e. stock motor and cooling system, in a cold climate) most likely.
