2008 V36 Sedan - Creaking Chair

Hi All,

So recently I have noticed that my driver's side chair has started to creak when I shift my weight on it or go over bumps etc.The noise seems to be coming from the rear of the chair.
Has anyone else experienced this and knows what the cause and fix is? Its been like this for about three weeks and is driving me insane!

Cheers.

I'm SO glad to hear someone else is having this problem because it has plagued me for a couple years now. I have been able to replicate it by shifting my weight against the back of the chair from side to side and it causes the creaking noise. I agree it is extremely annoying! I've even taken the seat completely out of the car and cranked down all of the bolts again but to no avail. It seems to come and go over time but still is not fixed and I'm out of warranty and don't feel like buying a new seat. I can only imagine how much that would cost. I hope someone on this forum has found a solution?

That is exactly how mine is too! I was hoping it was simply a matter of tightening some bolts but I guess its not that simple. Could it be something to do with the chair frame?

Update: Sitting in the back and moving the front chair I dont get any creaking. When im sitting in the chair, the further I put the seat back the less the chair creaks to a point where it does not happen at all (the seat is almost all the way back).

Any ideas?
