Hi Sam, don't know what your purpose in wanting a different intake is but they offer zero gains just a change in sound! Drop in filters allow more air flow, if you want the sound change Stillens CAI/Z-tube is the best aftermarket intake! Unlike other intakes it won't cost you HP loss due to heat and it carries a CARB sticker so it's legal!

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Gary you do realize he has a second gen sedan right? Ztube and single Stillen don't apply to his ride.
Sam the same concept applies to the second gen intakes as it does to the first gen. Anything with an exposed filter will suck in hot air from the engine bay which is detrimental to power. If you go the intake route on your sedan I would highly recommend the R2C. State of the art filters (they make all air filters for military vehicles) and the boxes seal against the hood so they only induce air flow from the grill. I had 3 different intakes on my 05 and once I installed the R2C I never looked back.

Once again thanks guys.
I just did the Drop in K&N filters and I swear it feels a tab better(pulling) mid to high Rpms (or could just be in my head-lol)
