Transmission help

hello. i have an 08 G35X with about 98k miles on it. bought it at 95k miles. it was perfect with no issues. whats happening is when i am in a complete stop, and press on the gas pedal i get a little jerk before i pass 1000rpms. IT goes jerk then goes back to normal in other gears. this only happens when i accelerate after a dead stop. but when i press the gas harder and accelerate faster the jerk doesnt happen. im guessing its a transmission issue? my spark plugs have just been changed. changed my air filters. changed my front discs. my tranny fluid is good full. only thing i have is a bad wheel bearing in the back but that cant make the car jerk in 1st gear. any help please!!!!!!!

Did somebody tell you your tranny fluid is full or did you check it yourself? Your transmission is slipping and I would not recommend you drive like that. Good way to do more damage than already done.

are you sure its slipping? because when i am driving in different gears it drives perfectly fine. this only happens after a complete stop. has a small hiccup before 1000 rpms. someone checked the tran oil and i checked it myself and it was good color and full.

Sounds like textbook case of slipping. Delayed engagement when going from a dead stop. You shouldn't feel a jerk at 1000 rpms
How did you check the transmission fluid?

Not sure if you're still having this issue, but my car did the EXACT same thing (I feel pretty confident in this based on your description) a few times.

I bought my car at 100k, and it started doing this not long after. I remember reading something about battery replacement confusing the ECU on its original firmware, and my car had a new battery at the time. I had the dealer reflash the ECU with the updated firmware (throttle sensitivity bulletin). I believe that worked for the reason below.

Try resetting your ECU, this works for me every time, I think the ECU simply gets confused after a while/in certain conditions. The jerk at 1000 rpm is (I think) the throttles slamming shut for a split second. Nauseating, but not a transmission issue.

I have also done this after cleaning the MAFs, air filters (I have the stillen intake), & throttle plates. I suspect those being less-than-perfectly clean contributes to the jerk developing.

Best of luck!

It could be a worn differential rear bushing, that "jerk" could just be the impact of the bushing moving around and you physically feel it throughout the vehicle.

Easiest way to test would be to put it in manumatic mode, keep it in first gear and drive the vehicle up to about 3500-4000 rpms and quickly punch then release the gas pedal a few times. Do you feel a banging from the rear of the vehicle? If so then get that rear diff bushing replaced.

Probably just low tranny fluid though.
