07 g35x oil pressure issue opinion
I dunno, can you buy a better car for that $1,100? Or are you ready to drop $10k to "fix" something that could have only cost $1k?
Really depends on the overall condition of the rest of the car.

Its excellent ! Paints a little faded on the roof and hood so I don't know . Mechanically it runs like new with no lights
I had an oil pressure warning light come up last year, at just short of 100k miles. I had the oil topped up and the warning was deleted by a local mechanic who later turned out to not be very good.
A few months later, a ticking sound started to occur that Cleric670 thought to be related to oil starvation. I eventually took the car to Infiniti's approved service centre in the nearest major city. They said the sound was coming from a tappet due to poor oil pressure cause by a leaking oil galley gasket, and they recommended a replacement at a cost of around $1000 (11 hours labour + cheap parts).
That was in December, but I had to wait a month for the part to arrive, during which time I had scheduled major knee surgery and needed my car. I'm now finally able to get around without my car, but the ticking sound has gone away even at sustained revs in the range where I heard the noise before.
I'm wondering if it's worth having the gasket replaced now that the sound has gone away? There are no warning lights at the moment. I can afford the repair, but I don't want to waste money nor have the hassle of leaving my car in a city some distance away.
