MD Tdx2 on G35x 07 Sedan

I am very new to the car scene with my G35x sedan being my first car, I would love to add my personal touch to it. Ive been looking at the MD TDx2 exhaust kit and I feel like its the ideal one for me. As much as I like it, I realized its for the coupe, and their is a G35s model as well, is their anyway possible that I could purchase this exhaust and have it running on my G?

The Y pipe and midpipe (in stock form) are interchangeable between the coupe and sedan. The only real difference is the muffler location. Sedans spare tire well is too low to mount most coupe exhausts to it. AFAIK, thats about the only difference. Since the TDX doesn't have a giant muffler in the center of the rear, it might be close...?

Coupe, Premium package, sport suspension
I believe there are also issues with fit getting around the front transfer case on the sedanX.

I appreciate the help, as much as I would love to have the coupe exhaust I dont think cutting my trunk up is a good idea, as an alternative do you know of any other exhaust kits that could put me close to the tdx2

You don't have to cut the trunk is what I was saying. That guy cut his trunk to fit the HUGE factory coupe muffler. Since the TDX does not have a muffler in the center of the rear, it may fit with little to no modification. If that makes sense.

But going off the previous comment, since yours is an X, the transfer case may be in the way too.

Oh ok now I see where you are coming from sorry for the confusion. Do you think their may be a workaround to the transfer case? I will do a bit more research myself

Someone commented on that thread that the Motordyne Y does NOT fit because the "runners" from the cat to the bend in the Y are too short. You could possibly unbolt the small resonator from the y pipe and have someone fabricate a VERY small merge to take it from the single 3" out to the dual, and then add extensions on the front of the actual Y to reach the cats. That might space it out far enough to give you the clearance needed.

So it seems with a couple tweaks that it may actually be possible? Or does it sound too good to be true? You my friend seem like a miracle worker giving me all the answers I need. Just curious as to why someone else hasnt tried it? I may just give it a go or may invest in the MD E370

I own a coupe and have been through 4 different exhausts lol, so I know the struggle. You will definitely need to make some modifications, but it seems like it should be doable with minimal effort. No one has probably tried it b/c who wants to drop that much money on an exhaust to cut it up, ya feel?

eBay test pipes, stock (but modded) y-pipe, and some random exhaust that has no brand. Went stock to HKS Rep to test pipes + HKS rep to test pipes + muffler delete to whatever I'm running now. My tastes keep changing so I switch up the sound lol.
