Does anyone have steps/pictures/video on a Starter replacement for a 2008 G35X?

Kind of a funny video but it gives some insight:

AWD is on the driver's side.

That link still works as of right now. If you go to the direct service manual page it does not though.

I'm certain that some of the commenters are from people with older G35s as many insisted it's on the passenger side too. It's on the driver's side on 2008 (and probably 2007). The shop manual does say to remove the exhaust mounting bracket and the lower steering joint to get access.

I did the starter on my g35 2008 but mine is RWD. I unbolted the starter and pushed it to the front fender liner to remove it out.

it's a bitch on the X. It's on the Driver's side. The videos for the RWD do you no good.

I tried to replace mine, had the mount bolts and electrical connection removed and could not, for the life of me, get the damned thing out.

I had the car towed to the shop and they did it. I was so embarrassed, I just paid and got the hell out. I didn't ask how they got it out.
