I can’t get my car out of park without bypassing shift lock using the shift lock button. I can press the brakes and the lights work. The car will start and can drive with many functions not working (see below). It’s as if the car doesn’t know it’s “ON”.

Other symptoms:
-there is no movement in the cluster panel (tachometer, fuel, speedometer, engine temperature, odometer)
-no clicks when starting the car (ie when pressing the brakes and start button, I no longer hear the clicking sound)
-no fans or A/C or defogger
-no seat warmers

Can a bad shift lock solenoid be the cause?

Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated.

 

Remove and inspect all fuses and connections in the fusible link.

If the link is good inspect every fuse in the IPDM.

 

Update:

It turned out to be be the interior fuse box below the steering wheel. The fuse marked “meter” was blown and had to be replaced. After replacement, the computer threw a bunch of CEL and transmission codes. The shop reset the codes and I was good to go.
