Car won’t start...need some insight
I own a 07 G35x with 135K
Car won’t crank to start.
Had someone scan the car and many codes came on.
The person erased the codes and the only code that returned was a B210A steering wheel lock switch.
My car turns on; everything works, but it just won’t start.
I splice a wire from the IPDM and jump the starter and the car runs like champ smh lol. I did some research on the steering lock mechanism and from what I understand if the lock goes defective I shouldn’t be able to get my car in the ON position.
My steering wheel doesn’t lock after turning the car off.
I know driving to the dealer is the best way to resolve this issue but I’m not in the mode trying to be ripped off....
any insight or suggestion...
thanks

Firstly they're not exactly "ripping you off". They charge a fair rate for the expensive piece of software they plug in that has all the tools to determine EXACTLY what's wrong with your car and thus will save you a lot of TIME in troubleshooting. Time is money friend
Now for the codes, B210A is not a diagnostic trouble code, you should get a different OBD2 scanner, one that shows proper codes and scan it again after cranking.
What EXACTLY did you bypass on the IPDM, what pin number was the wire?
I'm less familliar with the V36 platform but I don't remember a switch interlock being on the shifter or the lock cylinder? Having the proper code should help though.

I had someone with a snap on scan tool scan the vehicle after the car was running and no codes appeared.
White wire is the main wire to the starter, bypassing that wire bypasses the starting relay in the IPDM.
Make sure IPDM fuses 50 and 51 are good, both are 15 amp fuses.
Also test the start relay in the IPDM.
Does your car clearly show on the dash that you are in PARK, try starting the vehicle in both park and neutral, there is a PNP switch on the transmission that might have failed as well.

how do I test that relay inside the IPDM?
I recently had some work done on my valve body which cause the key light to show up on my dash. Prior to the valve body work I was having intermittent no starting issues. But after the valve body work the car doesn’t start at all now. Question show my key enter the gear lock ? Because the gear slot doesn’t allow my key to enter. I think I remember putting my key in the slot before. Could that be an issue?

The key icon on the dash means the vehicle doesn't recognize your intelligent fob and will not start the motor. Hold the fob directly on the receiver start button then press the brakes then the start button. The short range proximity transponder should allow you to start the vehicle.
This is usually due to a failing battery in the key fob and shouldn't have anything to do with work on the throttle body.
